On May 27, 2026, experts of the NGO “Ukrainian Modern Digital Science” (UMDS) actively participated in NATIONAL FINMON FORUM 2026 — one of Ukraine’s leading professional events dedicated to financial monitoring, sanctions compliance, international payments, and the digital transformation of the financial sector.
The Forum, organized by the Ukrainian Compliance Association with the support of LIGA360, brought together representatives of the banking sector, public authorities, law enforcement agencies, international experts, businesses, and the technology community to discuss the practical challenges of the modern financial monitoring system.
UMDS experts and partner representatives joined professional panels dedicated to AML/CFT, cryptoassets, sanctions compliance, international payments, and new European approaches to risk supervision.
Tetiana Dmytrenko, Doctor of Economics and Head of UMDS, participated in Panel 5 “AMLA and the New Reality for All Supervisory Entities”. She was joined in the discussion by fellow UMDS experts:
— Yevhenii Panchenko, representative of the National Police of Ukraine;
— Vadym Burlakov, expert at Crystal Intelligence.
The panel focused on the future transformation of the European AML supervisory system, risk-based control models, and new compliance requirements in the era of digital transformation.
Other UMDS experts participating in the Forum included:
— Andrii Aleksandrov, Partner at AMLBot and UMDS expert — Panel 4 “Currency Control and International Payments”;
— Vladyslav Tsvirkun, Vice President at Global Ledger and UMDS expert — Panel 3 “Sanctions: A Risk Formed Through the Chain”.
The Forum discussions focused on:
— the formation of corporate risk profiles;
— factors influencing banks’ decisions on payments;
— modern approaches to sanctions compliance and network-based risk analysis;
— new mechanisms for international payments and SEPA;
— the relationship between financial monitoring and criminal risks;
— the future architecture of European AML supervision.
Special attention was devoted to the digitalization of financial monitoring, the use of blockchain analytics, and new opportunities for identifying risks related to digital assets.
The participation of UMDS experts in NATIONAL FINMON FORUM 2026 once again demonstrated the organization’s active role in strengthening the professional AML/CFT community, promoting advanced technological solutions, and contributing to international expert dialogue in the field of financial security.
