Ukrainian Modern Digital Science (UMDS) extends its sincere gratitude to Professor Mark Button, President of the International Society of Economic Criminology (ISEC), and Professor Vasileios Karagiannopoulos, Co-Directors of the Centre for Cybercrime and Economic Crime at the University of Portsmouth, for their kind invitation and outstanding organisation of the 15th International Counter Fraud, Cybercrime and Forensic Accounting Conference.
The conference once again brought together leading academics, practitioners, and public sector representatives from around the world, creating a unique platform for discussing contemporary challenges related to fraud, cybercrime, illicit financial flows, and emerging technologies. Its high academic standards, interdisciplinary dialogue, and collaborative atmosphere made this event a significant contribution to the development of the international professional community.
This year’s conference welcomed more than 70 international experts who shared their research findings and practical experience through a diverse programme reflecting the interdisciplinary nature of contemporary studies in fraud, forensic accounting, and cybercrime. The thematic sessions covered:
- Financial crime, illicit finance, and forensic accounting;
- Fraud methods, victimisation, and harm;
- Cyber-enabled economic crime and global legal responses;
- Human trafficking, exploitation, and organised crime in the digital environment;
- AI-enabled deception, risk management, and emerging technologies;
- Linguistic, communicative, and behavioural aspects of fraud;
- Extremism, radicalisation, and online harms.
Together, these sessions provided an exceptional opportunity to exchange knowledge, explore innovative approaches, and present practical research relevant to academics, practitioners, and policymakers working in the fields of cybercrime, economic crime, and forensic accounting.
UMDS would also like to express its appreciation to Dr Tetiana Dmytrenko, Dr Oleksii Feshchenko, and Mykhailo Tiutin, experts of Ukrainian Modern Digital Science (UMDS), for their professional presentation of both their individual research and our joint scientific work during the conference.
