On September 5 and September 12, 2024, as part of the cooperation of the National Bar Association of Ukraine and UMDS, panel discussions were held with the participation of international experts and our partners on the topic “Digital economy: virtual assets, recovery and return” and “Digital economy: regulation of virtual assets“.
During the events, the issues of legal regulation of the recovery of virtual assets, international practices of searching for virtual assets, court practices and the role of a lawyer in obtaining court orders to freeze assets were discussed.
The event was attended by experts from our partners and our experts – Chairman of the NAAU Committee on Enforcement of Decisions Oleksandr Chernykh, Chairman of the Board of “Ukrainian Modern Digital Science”, consultant of UN projects Tetyana Dmytrenko, representative of the Cyber Police of Ukraine Yevhen Panchenko, Chairman of the Board of the Baltic Association of Compliance (Latvia ) Kaspars Muiznienks, senior researcher of the State University “Institute of Economic and Legal Research named after V.K. Mamutova” of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Tetyana Gudima, researcher of the blockchain analytical company AMLbot Group Vasyl Vidmanov and head of the Trustee Plus Customer Support Department Maryna Nesterenko
Foreign experts also shared their experience – David Christie, deputy dean for academic development and student experience at the School of Law and Social Sciences of the Robert Gordon University (United Kingdom), Oleg Shaulko, a solicitor in England, Massimiliano Blasone, a lawyer in Italy, Paul Dinsley, a cyber expert in England, and the chairman Association of Private Performers of Ukraine Oksana Rusetska
