EUAM and external partners (EUROPOL, UMDS, Finish Tax Authority, Institute of Trade and Economics of State University of Trade and Economics (ITE)) – organize workshop Financial Investigations and Cryptocurrency Related Crime Workshop for Ukrainian law enforcement agencies (Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine, State Bureau of Investigation, National Police of Ukraine, Security Service of Ukraine) experts on financial investigations and cryptocurrency related crime.

As part of the event, UMDS experts presented the directions of the organization’s work. Tetiana Dmytrenko spoke about the activities of UMDS and the latest trends in the development of international and European standards regarding the activity of the crypto market. Vlad Tsvirkun talked about conducting investigations with the help of analytical software products, public-private partnership in the investigation of crimes using crypto-assets, example by Global Ledger.

Hanna Tereshchenko spoke about educational projects for adults and schoolchildren regarding cyber hygiene and the risk of using crypto-assets in criminal operations. Tetiana Gudima talked about the scientific and regulatory work on the legalization of the virtual assets market.

As a result, UMDS reached agreements with EUAM on conducting a joint project for law enforcement agencies of Ukraine. Also, Chernivtsi Institute of Trade and Economics of the State Trade and Economics University joined the partners of UMDS.
