Chairwoman UMDS Dr. Tetiana Dmytrenko participated as an invited speaker at the 14th Annual Conference on Counter Fraud, Cybercrime and Forensic Accounting, held on 18–19 June 2025 at the University of Portsmouth, UK.

Her presentation addressed risk modelling related to the use of cryptocurrencies in financial crimes, emphasizing practical strategies to enhance anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing (AML/CFT) frameworks within the digital finance sector.

Key highlights of Dr Dmytrenko’s presentation included:

  • Typologies of suspicious transactions involving virtual assets;

  • Predictive risk assessment models;

  • Tools for regulatory bodies and law enforcement agencies;

  • Analysis of case studies and international cooperation in analytics (notably Platincoin and ChiaTaiTianjin).

The conference brought together over 60 leading experts from across the globe, covering critical contemporary issues such as online fraud, misinformation, cyberterrorism, and illicit cryptocurrency activities.
