As part of ongoing cooperation with INTERPOL and the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) for the 2026 Global Financial Fraud Threat Assessment, experts from the NGO Ukrainian Modern Digital Science (UMDS) in partnership with blockchain analytics company AMLbot have submitted a completed analytical questionnaire designed to collect insights on the evolving landscape of financial fraud.

The questionnaire covers:

  • emerging and prevalent fraud schemes;
  • victim vulnerabilities and impact;
  • offender profiles and illicit fund flows;
  • use of digital assets in fraud;
  • red flags and risk indicators;
  • regional and thematic trends;
  • successful public–private collaboration examples.

UMDS’s submission draws upon extensive analytical and investigative work carried out in the Republic of Kazakhstan, in cooperation with the UNODC Global Programme against Cybercrime and the Financial Monitoring Agency of Kazakhstan.

The UMDS analytical report references multiple cases of large-scale fraud involving virtual assets, including ChiaTaiTianjin and Platincoin, investigated jointly with UNODC and Global Ledger.

“We highly value the opportunity to contribute to INTERPOL’s global threat assessment with field-based intelligence and real case analysis from investigations involving digital assets,”
said UMDS representatives.

The organization continues to support international cooperation and capacity building in digital and financial security across Central Asia and beyond. UMDS remains committed to strengthening public–private partnerships, promoting transparency, and supporting global anti-fraud initiatives.
