Within CyberScotland Week, the Third Annual International Scientific and Practical Conference “Social Justice and Digital Economy 2026” focused on “Tokenisation and Its Impact on the Real Economy” was successfully held.

The event was organised by the Ukrainian National Bar Association , the V.K. Mamutov Institute of Economic and Legal Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, and Ukrainian Modern Digital Science.

The conference brought together legal scholars, practising lawyers, regulators and industry experts from Ukraine, Canada, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and Estonia to discuss the legal architecture of tokenisation and its implications for modern legal practice.

In his opening remarks, Professor Volodymyr Ustymenko, Director of the Mamutov Institute and Corresponding Member of the NAS of Ukraine, emphasised that during Ukraine’s recovery period, innovation, digital financial instruments and integration into the European legal space are strategic priorities. He stressed that tokenisation is not merely a technological tool, but a transformative legal phenomenon requiring doctrinal clarity and professional legal expertise.

Dr. Tetiana Dmytrenko told about future frameworks for digital assets regulation and cooperation between Ukranian digital science enthusiasts and international researchers and stakeholders community.
